Welcome to Abba Urban
Chickens
At Abba Urban Chicken, we are dedicated to enhancing food security and fostering entrepreneurship within our communities. Our initiative focuses on establishing community chicken coops, housing approximately 700 chickens, as well as home coops containing 48 to 55 chickens. By promoting the dual production of both broilers (meat) and layers (eggs), we aim to provide families with fresh, nutritious food while also creating small business opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
Establishing Community Chicken Coops
We create community chicken coops that not only provide access to fresh eggs and meat but also foster collaboration among residents. These coops serve as community hubs where individuals can learn about poultry farming and share resources, enhancing community bonds and support.
Encouraging Small Business Development
Our initiative focuses on empowering individuals to start their own small businesses by selling eggs and meat produced from the coops. We provide training, resources, and mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them to create sustainable income streams and contribute to their local economies.
Promoting Sustainable Practices
Abba Urban Chicken emphasises sustainable farming practices that respect the environment while ensuring the health and well-being of the chickens. We educate community members on responsible poultry management, which leads to healthier flocks and improved production, ultimately benefiting the entire community
